About this experience
Experience Amazigh culture through Ahidous, one of Morocco’s most distinctive forms of collective
music, movement and oral expression.
Your experience begins with a warm welcome over traditional Moroccan tea and local sweets,
followed by an introduction to Amazigh culture, history, language, Tifinagh, symbols and oral
heritage.
You will then discover Ahidous and its cultural meaning, exploring its rhythms, music, poetry and
collective traditions.
The experience becomes hands-on as you create and personalize your own bendir, decorating it
with designs inspired by Amazigh symbols.
Once your bendir is ready, you will learn the basic Ahidous rhythm and practice playing together
with the group. You will also learn Ahidous lyrics adapted to the guests and the group, allowing
everyone to participate regardless of previous musical experience.
The experience culminates in a collective Ahidous performance where you play, sing and
experience the energy of this living Amazigh tradition together.
You will then share a traditional homemade meal with us, such as couscous, before ending the
experience with a group photo holding your painted bendirs.
This is more than watching a cultural performance — you become part of it.
