Discover the rich heritage of Morocco’s Amazigh people through a three-hour interactive workshop
in Merzouga.
Your experience begins with a warm welcome featuring traditional Moroccan tea and local sweets,
followed by an introduction to Amazigh culture, history, identity, and living heritage.
You’ll discover the Tifinagh alphabet, learn how to write your name and simple words, and explore
everyday Amazigh words and expressions. You’ll also learn about the meanings behind Amazigh
symbols, traditional tattoos, and ancestral motifs, and how these elements continue to appear in
crafts, traditions, and everyday life.
Then it’s your turn to create.
Choose from the available creative activities and make your own piece of artwork inspired by
Amazigh symbols and traditions. Whether you paint on a selected object, a tote bag, or another
available support, you’ll have the opportunity to express what you’ve discovered through your own
creation.
And the experience continues beyond the workshop. Share a traditional homemade meal with us,
such as couscous, and enjoy a moment of conversation and cultural exchange.
Before you leave, take your handmade creation with you — along with a deeper understanding of
